The Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology, Bhubaneswar, the second oldest farm University of the country, has contributed immensely towards agricultural development of the state

The University consisting of ten constituent Colleges, one Centre for Post-graduate Studies, ten Agro-polytechnic Centres, 19 Research Centers, 51 AICRPs, 31 Krishi Vigyan Kendras and various projects contributes to the cause of academic, research and transfer of technology aspects in Agriculture, allied sciences and basic sciences as well. Till date, the University has produced 22,025 Graduates; 9,280 Masters and 542 Ph.D. students in different disciplines and continues in creating leaders for sustainable agriculture and beyond. The University has released 171 crop varieties of different crops and various production & protection technologies for the benefit of farmers. Three patents have been granted to the University in recognition of its innovative research. OUAT has occupied 19th rank at All India level as per ICAR ranking 2020, 22nd position of NIRF ranking 2023 under agriculture & allied category and received University of the Year award 2021 by Agriculture Today group.

I am hopeful; the version 3.0 of OUAT Web portal will be useful for the stakeholders interested to know about the University, its accomplishments and activities.
