Dr. M. S. Swaminathan Hall

It was inaugurated on 24th August, 2001 by Sri Naveen Patnaik, Chief Minister, Odisha in presence of Sri Amar Prasad Satpathy, Minister of State, Agriculture, Odisha and Sri Sahadeva Sahoo, Ex-Vice Chancellor, OUAT on 40th Foundation Day. This hall is named after the eminent agricultural scientist Dr. M.S. Swaminathan; the hall embodies his vision of advancing agricultural practices and improving food security.

It serves as a hub for various academic and research activities related to agriculture, horticulture, veterinary science, and allied fields where seminars, workshops, conferences, and lectures are hosted to foster knowledge exchange among students, faculty, researchers, and experts. It also plays a vital role in connecting the University with the local community, farmers, and agricultural stakeholders. It serves as a platform for dialogues, extension programs, and initiatives that contribute to the upliftment of farm, farmers and rural development.

It is equipped with modern audio-visual systems, advanced communication technology & facilitates for effective knowledge dissemination and interactive learning experiences.
