The mandate of the College is (i) to produce professional manpower in Fisheries Science at B.F.Sc., M.F.Sc. and Ph.D. levels; (ii) to carry out need-based research and generate improved technologies in fisheries sector and also (iii) to disseminate the technology in aquaculture, fisheries and post-harvest technology to the farmers, fishermen and rural/urban unemployed youths through extension education.
