College of Community Science, formerly known as the College of Home Science, was established in 1981 under the Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology. Located centrally in the heart of the temple city of Bhubaneswar, it boasts of a sprawling campus and spacious infrastructure which are easily accessible (5 km away from railway station and about 2.5 km from Biju Pattnaik International Airport).

The college offers Graduate and Post graduate degree programmes. The B.Sc.(Hons.) Community Science is a four year professional degree course with three years of course work and a year of Student READY Programme, with an intake capacity of 32 per year.

The Post graduate programme leading to M.Sc. (Home Science) degree were introduced in Textile and Apparel designing in the year 2009, Food and Nutrition in 2011 and Family Resource Management in 2013. Currently Post graduate programme is offered only in Food and Nutrition with a intake capacity of five per year.
