IDP-NAHEP

Institutional Development Plan (IDP) under NAHEP is operating with financial assistance from ICAR and World Bank to provide skill enhancement and entrepreneurship development trainings for graduating students, which help in igniting young minds to take up the challenges in establishing entrepreneurship among students and enable them to develop financially viable and feasible projects. It also strengthens human resource capabilities by exposing students to the reputed national and international agriculture and allied institutes in the form of trainings and collaborative research programs. The college has organized one IDP- NAHEP training on “skill development on pot culture” for entrepreneurship development. Two students from our college attended two month internal training program at University of Nebraska Lincoin, USA. The alumni, as ambassadors of the university, will also play a greater role in developing linkages and partnerships. The college also organized an alumni interaction program in the form of webinar on “Journey from OUAT to IIM Ahmedabad” for infusing innovative ideas among students on agri-ventures .

Projects

A “small nursery project” is established in 1 ha area funded by NHM, Directorate of Horticulture, Govt. of Odisha for production and supply of quality planting material for different horticultural crops. Another project on “OMBADC” is going on funded by Department of Rural Development, Govt. of Odisha with an objective of capacity building, skiling, agroentreprise model and entrepreneurship development.
