The DBT sponsored project entitled “Establishment of Biotech KISAN HUB at OUAT, Bhubaneswar” was sanctioned on 05.2.2020. There are five numbers of partnering KVK under this project i.e, Kalahandi, Bolangir, Dhenkanal, Gajapati and Kandhamal coming under four different agro-climatic zones with an aim to hasten the process of technology transfer from lab to land. College of Agriculture, Bhawanipatna is the HUB of the project for overall monitoring and coordination of the KVKs. The project aims to provide location specific solutions and need based research at the farm level for the small and marginal farmers especially farm women and adoption of integrated remunerative enterprises to ensure livelihood and income security.
