1. What are the career opportunities after graduating from B.Sc. (Hons.) Ag?

Ans: Students completing B.Sc. (Hons.) Ag are eligible for OPSC, UPSC, MBA, MSc in different agricultural domain, jobs in department of agriculture. State and central government jobs, Managers/ Officers/ Executives and Agro-industry sectors, Finance managers in various banks, Commodity traders of Agri-produce, Executives in Agri import- export firms, Wholesalers and retailers of Agri input- output sectors, Agripreneures etc.

2. How to reach College of Agriculture, OUAT, Bhawanipatna?

Ans: There is a reliable bus connectivity to all the major cities like Bhubaneswar, Balasore, Berhampur, Rourkela etc. Also the nearest railway station is 3 kms away from the College of Agriculture. The nearest airport is 15 kms away with flight connectivity to Bhubaneswar.

3. Are there any training programs conducted for entrepreneurship development for the students?

Ans: Yes

4. How many credits do I have to cover by the end of the degree programme?

Ans: 180 credits

5. What is the eligibility criteria and steps needed for me to get admission in this programme?

Ans: Students must have passed 12th standard with 10+2 pattern from State Board of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Mathematics or polytechnic diploma holder students are eligible to apply for OUAT entrance examination.15% of seats in bachelor degree programme is reserved in all the state universities for students for students entering through ICAR- AIEEA (UG) examination.

6. Is this a fully residential college?

Ans: Yes. Hostel accommodation is available. However, students can opt for staying outside according their preference.

7. What is the minimum GPA to complete the degree?

Ans: 5.5 with 85% attendance

8. Are outings allowed in College of Agriculture, OUAT, Bhawanipatna?

Ans: Yes. However, the intime for the male students is 8:00 PM and for female students it is 7:00 PM in hostels.

9. Is there any uniform for students?

Ans: No. But the students are expected to dress decently while being present in the campus.

10. Whether the actual field experience is imparted during degree programme?

Ans: This is a four year full time Degree programme, where for the 1st 3 years class room teaching is incorporated with field classes and in the final year, there three programmes: village attachment programme (VAP), Agro-industry attachment programme (AIAP) and Experiencial learning programme (ELP) for practical experience/ training./p>
